Welcome to the "Wiki"!

A collection of personal knowledge.

Braille is, as many people know. a written langguage used by blind people as it can be read by touch in stead of sight.
The original form of braille is made up of two rows of dots, each consisting of three dots, for a total of six.
This allows for a total of 64 combinations of dots, including the "blank" one with no dots, which signifies a space.
However with the dawn of the digital age and the tachnology of refreshable braille displays, a version with 8 dots has been developped, allowing for many more charaters.

This site will, at firstm focus almost entirely on the form with the original six dots, as this is the version that I am currently learning.
Likewise it will likely for a time be mainly about danish braille, although the letters and numbers are the same across most languages, it's mostly just the shortenings and certain syntax rules and characters that change,
though to be fair, that is a large and important part.
